Cloisters has appeared in leading cases for over 50 years and its barristers have become renowned not only for their technical excellence and tenacity, but also for their people-centred approach and practical delivery. 

The set of more than 50 barristers is led by Robin Allen QC and performs the whole range of civil court, tribunal and appellate work from the smallest claims to high profile cases in the Supreme Court and European Court of Justice. 

Cloisters acts for both claimants and defendants in all practice areas and its clients are broad and diverse ranging from the world’s biggest law firms to in-house legal departments, trade unions, law centres, high street firms, the Equality and Human Rights Commission and many professional associations. 

Other services we provide throughout the UK include mediation; training for solicitors, in-house legal departments, HR professionals, the judiciary, trade unions and politicians; and regular legal updates.  We also undertake advisory work and deliver lectures in our specialist areas throughout Europe.

Our barristers are sole practitioners and are all registered with the Bar Standards Board. Some have foreign qualifications, which are indicated on their individual profiles.
