Sally has a thriving practice in both Employment Law and Personal Injury.
Employment
Sally specialises in all aspects of discrimination as well as whistleblowing, TUPE and unfair dismissal.
She is happy to represent both Claimants and Respondents. Her experience in representing both sides allows her good judgement and tactical insight.
Sally has immense knowledge and experience of a range of industries including, banking, journalism, local government, NHS, recruitment, solicitors and social housing.
Sally regularly advises on procedural and contractual employment matters for many national companies, public bodies and charities.
Personal Injury
Sally's experience in PI covers a wide range of employers' liability, public liability and road traffic accidents, including fatal accident claims.
She has advised, represented and settled a number of serious head injury cases, as well as those resulting in serious psychiatric and orthopaedic injuries.
Her most recent outing to the CA (with Simon Taylor QC) resulted in an award of liability for a motorcyclist injured by a police car which had been pursuing him.

Niekrash v South London NHS Trust (2010)- whistleblowing by hospital consultant
Harvey v Newsgroup Newspapers (2010)- disability discrimination; reasonable adjustments; working from home
Henry v Thames Valley Police (2010) (CA) - motorcyclist injured by police car following pursuit. CA held that police officer was negligent in using car to block escape.
Maitland v IPC Magazines (2009) - disability discrimination; reasonable adjustments; suitable alternative employment
Otaiku v Rotherham NHS Trust (2008) - sex discrimination; harassment; victimisation; race discrimination
Loftus v Botham (2008) - Motorcyclist sustained serious head injury as a result of RTA with ambulance (settled))
