Personal injury, clinical negligence and insurance law specialist, Dan Lawson, has recently joined Cloisters from 9 Gough Square. Called to the bar in 1994, Dan undertakes the full range of personal injury work and has special expertise in complex public and employer’s liability claims. He frequently acts in cases involving severe brain or spinal cord injury and has handled many fatal accident claims. In clinical negligence cases he has a particular focus on neurological injury. His insurance work has covered disputes over policy construction and avoidance for non-disclosure or misrepresentation. He also undertakes general contract work and cases concerning civil costs.
Listed in Chambers and Partners 2014 in Band 1 and as a top Leading Junior in personal injury, he is recommended for his handling of complex technical matters and his attention to detail and “He thinks outside the box and is able to construct clever liability arguments …he’s … extremely good at handling difficult schedules of loss.”
