David Massarella instructed in zero hours contract case against Sports Direct

David Massarella has been instructed by Leigh Day's Elizabeth George in a zero-hours contract dispute between Sports Direct and Croydon employee Zahera Gabriel-Abraham.

Zahera Gabriel-Abraham is challenging the legality of the treatment by Sports Direct of its part-time workforce. It is claimed that the part-time work force are not eligible to participate in the company bonus share scheme announced in July, and that they are denied paid annual leave, sick pay and other bonuses available to full-time staff and are therefore treated less favourably.
