Cloisters is proud to support Adam Ohringer and Mark Skipp in their bid to complete the London Marathon 2014. Both of them are running to raise as much money as they can for charities in which they have a deep personal involvement.
" I'm running my marathon to support the work of the Free Representation Unit. They arrange for volunteer student lawyers to represent individuals who cannot afford to pay for a solicitor or barrister.
I must admit that I'm finding the training a bit gruelling, I'm currently doing around 12 miles twice a week along the Thames and using Big Ben to monitor my times. I’ve discovered that hummus on wholemeal bread and listening to Melvyn Bragg on Radio 4 helps. My aim is to finish in a respectable time. I will decide what is respectable on the day.
So, please do help me to support this worthy cause. If FRU wasn't there, countless of individuals would be going to court on their own without advice or representation. Please visit my donation page and help me go the extra mile."
" I'm taking part in the London Marathon on Sunday 13th April 2014 for Great Ormond Street Hospital, to support their fantastic and pioneering medical work. Over the years, I have known people who have undergone treatment at GOSH so I've experienced first hand the amazing life-saving work their doctors and nurses carry out every day.
With less than a fortnight to go, I'm resting as much as possible but trying to keep my legs ticking over in the gym on the bike! I'm consuming lots of protein and carbs and downing energy gels when I run.
My efforts are small thank you to much-loved hospital, but with your help and donations I can make a bigger difference. Please visit my donation page to help me on my way."
