Our London Legal Walkers (and runners) raise much-needed funds

The Cloisters team of Jacques Algazy QC, Joel Donovan QC, Chris MilsomSally Robertson, Olivia Dobbie, Chesca Lord, Rachel Barrett, Rajiv Bhatt and Jen Danvers raised over £3,000 in sponsorship for taking part in last night’s London Legal Walk.  Olivia and Chesca even donned running shoes and showed the walkers a clean pair of heels.

Rachel Barrett, the organiser of the Cloisters team, was delighted with their performance: “ We’d like to thank all our kind sponsors for their generous donations . The money we raised will go to the London Legal Support Trust, the Free Representation Unit and the Bar Pro Bono Unit. We know that these agencies do a fantastic job in preventing homelessness, resolving debt problems, caring for the elderly and disabled and fighting exploitation.”

If you’d like help us raise the total even higher, there’s still time to make a donation here.

Over 8,000 people and 515 teams took part in the 10km event. As the Rt. Hon. Lord Phillips of Worth Matravers commented: “ The London Legal Walk has become the social and sporting event of the legal calendar.”
