Cloisters supports Public Concern at Work’s intervention in the Court of Appeal
26 September 2011
Leading public interest disclosure charity Public Concern at Work have been granted permission to intervene in the appeal in Fecitt v Manchester NHS Trust due to be heard in the CA in early October. PCaW instructed Robin Allen QC to draft their intervention in this important appeal which will determine the extent to which employers are under a duty to ensure that staff who properly blow the whistle on fellow workers should be protected from victimisation afterwards. PCaW are keen to emphasise that whistleblowing done in the right way – as it was in this case – on a matter of real importance – as it was in this case – is in the public interest and so should attract the highest level of protection.
The grounds of PCaW’s intervention can be seen here.
Cloisters Daphne Romney is acting for the Respondent employees.
