Andrew Rhodes is a pupil at Cloisters, he commenced pupillage in September 2018.


Andrew is currently supervised by Dan Lawson, and was previously supervised by David Massarella and Martyn McLeish. So far in his pupillage, amongst other things, he has assisted in Page v NHS Trust Development Authority, an EAT case involving allegations of religious and belief discrimination, and in Hewes v West Hertfordshire Hospitals NHS Trust and ors, a complex cauda equina syndrome case.

Prior to pupillage, he gained a significant amount of advocacy experience, both as a volunteer for the Free Representation Unit, and as a solicitor's agent. He has appeared in claims for unfair dismissal, constructive dismissal, victimisation and claims under the TUPE regulations. He has also appeared in the county court in road traffic accident, credit hire and breach of contract claims. In addition, he has significant experience of enforcing judgments through the county court, and is happy to advise on this.
