Catherine Meenan gained Tenancy at Cloisters in 2019 and currently accepts instructions across all areas of chamber's work.
OVERVIEW
Catherine has experience of working for both claimants and respondents in the Employment Tribunal and the County Court, and for the family in the Coroner's Court. She has experience acting in complex, multi-day discrimination cases and has a keen interest in equal pay.
Catherine also acts for claimants in personal injury and clinical negligence cases, including acting in fast track trials and advising on merits and quantum.
Catherine commenced pupillage in October 2018 and was offered tenancy in September 2019.
Prior to pupillage, Catherine worked as an education researcher at Teach First. She also worked as a legal researcher for Rights Watch UK, focusing on post-conflict justice in Northern Ireland. Catherine volunteered as an education advocate for the Communities Empowerment Network where she represented the families of excluded school children at Governors' Disciplinary Committees.
