The Bar Council of England and Wales have published the report of the Independent Review into Bullying, Harassment and Sexual Harassment at the Bar, led by Baroness Harriet Harman KC.
This significant report addresses the serious challenges facing the profession and sets out recommendations to address cultural and structural barriers.
Cloisters played a central role in shaping this review:
Rachel Crasnow KC, Chair of the Bar Council’s Equality, Diversity and Social Mobility (EDSM) Committee, and Dee Masters, Chair of the Bar Council’s Retention Panel drafted the Terms of Reference, sat on the Review’s Reference Group, and brought to bear their wider experience in Bar Council leadership roles.
At Cloisters, we remain firmly committed to the principle that bullying, harassment and discrimination have no place at the Bar or in any workplace.
