Caspar Glyn QC secures Will Chudley’s appearance in Saturday’s Premiership Final
Caspar Glyn QC successfully represented Exeter Chief’s scrum half, Will Chudley, for a citing hearing on Tuesday 24 May.
Mr Chudley was the Man of the Match in the Chief’s victory over Wasps in the Semi Finals and has been ever present in the team this season. He was cited for allegedly kicking Joe Launchbury contrary to the laws of the game. It was the major talking point of the game and was widely discussed on social media. Had the citation been upheld Mr Chudley would have inevitably been suspended for Saturday’s Premiership final against Saracens.
The disciplinary panel accepted Mr Chudley’s evidence and Caspar’s submissions that the contact with Mr Launchbury’s head was accidental and the charge was dismissed. Mr Chudley is now free to play on Saturday.
