Chris Milsom acts for paratroopers in army racial harassment claims

Chris Milsom acts for the Claimants L Cpl Zulu and Pte Gue in an ongoing and high-profile complaint of racial discrimination and harassment in the army.

The Claimants allege that they were subjected to egregious racial abuse at home and abroad which was not adequately addressed by the higher echelons of the army. They also allege that there is a climate of right-wing extremism which has been allowed to fester including the display of the Nazi flag and public camaraderie with “Tommy Robinson.” The case has already been subject to one landmark ruling in which the ET ruled that the army service complaints regime – typically seen as a bar to the pursuit of discrimination claims in the ET – contravened the Claimants’ Charter and Convention rights.
