Cloisters features in FT Global Legal Hackathon team

Schona Jolly QC was part of this FT Global Legal Hackathon team, chaired by Paul Daniels at Keystone Law, to consider innovative ways of improving support for U.K. whistleblowers. The challenge to the legal industry was : “To unleash the talent and creativity of the world’s legal industry to collaboratively innovate solutions to the most pressing legal, regulatory, and civil society challenges posed by the COVID-19 crisis.” 2,700 participants from 225 organisations and 70 countries have submitted 170 projects.

The team’s “hack” considered COVID-related fraud in the context of the furlough scheme and business loans in the UK, and innovative ways to protect whistleblowers urgently as part of the crisis. The team’s “hack” can be found here:
