Jacques Algazy QC and Martyn McLeish elected joint Heads of Chambers

Cloisters is pleased to announce that Jacques Algazy QC and Martyn McLeish have been elected joint Heads of Chambers. With effect from today they take over from Robin Allen QC and Joel Donovan QC.

Jacques was called to the bar in 1980 and took silk in 2012. He is well known as a tenacious and robust advocate with a successful employment, commercial and public/EU law practice. He has appeared in Chambers & Partners and The Legal 500 as a leading practitioner for many years. He  also sits as a Recorder and Employment Tribunal Judge

Martyn was called to the bar in 1997, he has practiced in Personal Injury and Clinical Negligence since then. He has extensive experience of representing catastrophic injury claimants, including brain and spinal injury. He has been recommended by the Legal 500 and Chambers and Partners. He is Vice Chairman of the Bar Council Remuneration Committee and also a member of the PIBA Executive Committee.

Both Robin and Joel are continuing in practice at Cloisters.
