Rachel Crasnow QC wins Diversity Champion of the Year

Rachel Crasnow QC has won Diversity Champion at the 2018 Diversity Legal Awards UK.

Diversity Champion is awarded to an individual who has made a significant contribution to diversity within and across the legal profession over the past three years. The intention is to highlight both the leadership demonstrated and the best practice they have exemplified (through the impact of their work).

Rachel Crasnow QC is an inspirational figure to all barristers. She has demonstrated that being a parent and flexible working is no barrier to reaching the upper echelons of the profession. She has challenged the concept of “round the clock” working and advocated for a healthy work/life balance.

She has used her position and experience to support, promote and advance more junior women in chambers, through informal mentoring and targeted initiatives. Rachel has championed mental wellbeing in and out of chambers and as an active member of the Bar Council’s Equality, Diversity and Social Mobility group she has relentlessly pushed for greater inclusion.

Congratulations Rachel, we are delighted that your work in this area has been recognised in this way.
