Cloisters barristers appear in an important case on foster carers’ human rights being heard in the Court of Appeal this week, NUPFC v Certification Officer. Rachel Crasnow QC, Doughty Street’s David Stephenson, and Rachel Barrett represent the NUPFC, which seeks to be listed as a Trade Union to represent foster carers. The case concerns whether foster carers should be treated as workers for the purposes of being able to list a trade union to represent their interests.
