Review of Cloisters Chambers in 2018

Season’s greetings from us all here at Cloisters. 2018 has been an exceptional year for our chambers, here are some of our successes:

Gained two new Silks – Ed Williams QC and Tom Coghlin QC.

We also welcomed two new pupils, Catherine Meehan and Andrew Rhodes.

Received three nominations in the Chambers and Partners Bar Awards. William Latimer Sayer QC won Clinical Negligence / Personal Injury Silk of the year. Cloisters won Employment Set of the Year.

Four silks and one junior highlighted in Who’s Who Legal, Labour & Employment 2018

Cloisters was awarded Pro Bono Chambers of the year 2018 at the Pro Bono Awards. Navid Pourghazi was nominated for Young Pro Bono Barrister of the year and David Massarrella was nominated for Junior Pro Bono Barrister of the Year.

We were also awarded a Well-being Certificate of recognition.

This year we have decided not to send Christmas cards, but instead to donate to the Syria Appeal and Big Issue Foundation, follow the links if you would like to join us in doing so.
