Schona Jolly QC advising South African Olympic champion Caster Semenya

Caster Semenya is in the process of appealing against the International Association of Athletics Federations’ new regulations that she and other athletes with differences of sexual development (DSD) must take testosterone-reducing medication to lower their naturally occurring testosterone levels in order to compete in track events.

Semenya says that she will “never stop fighting” against IAAF rules governing testosterone levels in female athletes.

Schona Jolly QC is part of an international legal team, instructed by Jim Bunting of Tyr LLP to advise Semenya in her appeal.
