We are delighted to announce that two Cloisters barristers have today been appointed as Recorders of the Crown Court.

Patricia Hitchcock QC and Jacques Algazy QC have both been appointed to sit in the Crown Court with effect from 25 April 2018. Patricia will sit in the South Eastern Circuit and Jacques will sit in the North Eastern circuit. 

The Queen has appointed 13 Recorders on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable David Gauke MP, and the Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, The Right Honourable The Lord Burnett of Maldon. Cloisters is thrilled to have two of their barristers appointed. Patricia and Jacques join Caspar Glyn QCTom Brown and Sarah Fraser-Butlin who were appointed as recorders on 22nd March 2018.
