Ameer Ismail successfully represented the Claimant, Mr Assan, at a 4-day Remedy Hearing following which the Claimant was awarded approximately £360k gross, equating to over £233k net. Mr Assan, who worked as a Security Manager at Vigilant Security (Scotland) Ltd t/a Croma Vigilant for over 15 years, was victimised after raising allegations of discrimination to his employer and he ultimately resigned – an act the Tribunal had found to be both victimisation and constructive unfair dismissal.

After hearing extensive evidence and heavily contested submissions at the Remedy Hearing, the Tribunal awarded the Claimant past loss of earnings to date, future career loss, injury to feelings in the middle Vento band as well as a sum for general damages on account of personal injury. Ameer was instructed on a pro bono basis by Advocate.
