Rachel Crasnow KC appointed co-chair of Bar Council’s Equality, Diversity & Social Mobility Committee

Rachel Crasnow KC has been appointed co-chair of the Bar Council Equality, Diversity and Social Mobility (EDSM) Committee. Her long-standing work in the equality law field, and wide-ranging support and commitment to a fairer Bar means she will be able to lead the committee alongside fellow co-chair Elaine Banton of 7 Bedford Row in enhancing working lives for all the different groups who make up the barrister community.

Rachel’s appointment reflects her renowned leadership and advocacy skills.

Amongst the many aims of the Bar Council’s EDSM Committee are strengthening diversity, ensuring public equality duties are met and improving access to justice, thus leading to a more inclusive Bar for law students, barristers and clients alike.
