Cloisters Chambers is delighted to welcome Tamar Burton back to practice following her maternity leave.
Tamar has a broad practice spanning clinical negligence, personal injury, inquests, employment and discrimination law. She is particularly known for acting for claimants in complex and high-value injury claims, including cases involving brain injuries, spinal injuries and birth injuries, as well as representing families in inquests.
Alongside her practice, Tamar previously served as Junior Counsel to the Infected Blood Inquiry, where she contributed to the Inquiry’s examination of the impact of blood-borne viruses on infected people and their families.
Prior to coming to the Bar, Tamar worked as a litigation executive at Slater & Gordon and was involved in major group litigation including claims arising from the DePuy ASR hip implant litigation and representing victims of Jimmy Savile.
We are very pleased to have Tamar back in chambers and look forward to working with her over the coming year.
