Chris Milsom represented Dr Sarah Redvers in her employment tribunal claim against NHS Sussex Integrated Care Board and its former chief executive, Adam Doyle.
Dr Redvers alleged that she was forced to leave her safeguarding role after raising concerns about the prescribing of puberty blockers and cross-sex hormones to children and young people.
At the close of the hearing, the Respondents conceded that Medical Integrity belief was a protected belief for the purposes of section 10 of the Equality Act 2010. This may have broader public implications in conferring protection on others working in healthcare.
The hearing concluded, with judgment expected in December 2026. The proceedings have attracted national coverage, including The BBC, The Sunday Times and The Telegraph.
Documents made available following an order by the Tribunal, including the parties’ written closing submissions, can be viewed here.
Chris Milsom acted for the Claimant in these proceedings, leading Charlotte Elves of Outer Temple Chambers and was instructed by Peter Daly of Doyle Clayton solicitors.
