15 Cloisters barristers named in the 2026 Pro Bono Recognition List

Cloisters is delighted to announce that 15 of its barristers have been recognised in the 2026 Pro Bono Recognition List of England & Wales. The list celebrates solicitors and barristers who have dedicated 25 hours or more to pro bono legal assistance over the previous calendar year.

The Pro Bono Recognition List is now in its third year and is endorsed by The Lady Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Baroness Carr of Walton-on-the-Hill. It was established under the sponsorship of the Attorney General’s Pro Bono Committee, with support from the Bar Council, the Law Society, Advocate and other major pro bono organisations. In 2026, the list recognised 5,550 lawyers, including 700 barristers across England and Wales.

The Cloisters barristers recognised this year are:

  • Declan O'Dempsey

  • Catherine Casserley

  • John Horan

  • Adam Ohringer

  • Dee Masters

  • Chris Milsom

  • Olivia Dobbie

  • Rachel Barrett

  • Helena Ifeka

  • Ameer Ismail

  • Laura Redman

  • Caitlin Page

  • Hana Abas

  • Emma Darlow Stearn

  • Danielle Worden

This recognition is a testament to the strength of Cloisters’ commitment to pro bono work and to the willingness of its members to give their time and expertise in support of those who may otherwise struggle to access legal assistance.

We warmly congratulate all those recognised for this well-deserved achievement.
