Robin Allen QC represented Gareth Lee, in the ‘Gay Cake Case,’ or Gareth Lee v UK, in Lee’s journey to Strasbourg where the European Court of Human Rights (ECtHR) ultimately deemed the complaint inadmissible.

A few months on from this decision, Robin reflects on the wider influence this case has on the social and political change and the potential conflicts of rights.
