Grace's acts solely for claimants in her clinical negligence and personal practice, with a particular emphasis on catastrophic injury quantum cases. 

Before joining the Bar, Grace read mathematics at the University of Oxford, graduating with first-class honours.

  • ‍Grace has a busy practice in restrictive covenants, inducing breach of contract, conspiracy, breach of fiduciary duty and misuse of confidential information, litigated in the High Court, as well as in claims at the intersection of tort and employment law.

    She is regularly instructed by top-tier firms, frequently working with both claimants and respondents in the financial services, professional services, insurance, energy, health and creative sectors, in both High Court and statutory employment litigation.

    She has particular expertise and interest in cases involving whistleblowing, discrimination, worker status, the application of artificial intelligence and data protection to employment law, and claims with a cross-border or international element.

    Recent instructions include:

    • Foxley v GPT, the Ministry of Defence and ors [2026] EWHC 673 (KB); [2026] EWHC 672 (KB). Acting for the Claimant in an ongoing High Court international whistleblowing case relating to allegations of state sanctioned corruption delivering military capabilities in Saudi Arabia (led by Derrick Dale KC, Russell Hopkins and Jennifer Danvers).     • CoGrammar v Tuulik and Klindzic – High Court: Sole counsel for the Defendants in an ongoing High Court claim concerning alleged breaches of restrictive covenants.

    • Ambridge v. Maleary and others - High Court: Acting for the fifth defendant in a restrictive covenant and inducement of breach of contract case (led by Paul Epstein KC and Paul Michell). For recent press coverage see here: The Insurer and Insurance Insider. The matter settled in 2026 following a mediation.

    • A v S – High Court: Acting for the defendants, a large scale supplier of environment control systems and former employees of the claimant, in a claim for injunctive relief concerning alleged breaches of contract, misuse of confidential information and inducement (led by Paul Michell). The matter settled in early 2026 before a speedy trial.

    • Oni and Ors v London Borough of Walthamstow – EAT: Acting for the Claimants in a forthcoming landmark appeal determining the employment rights of foster carers, including rights to bring whistleblowing and discrimination complaints (led by Rachel Crasnow KC, Chris Milsom and Rachel Barrett). The appeal will be heard in early 2027.

    • Twist DX v Armes [2024] EAT 45: Instructed by the Claimants in the EAT in a complex appeal on the scope of the Employment Tribunal’s territorial jurisdiction for non-UK-based respondents (led by Andrew Watson). The claim is pleaded at over £20 million and the Claimants were successful on almost all points. The case attracted comment in Employment Cases Update, Daniel Barnett and IDS.

    • A Szucs v GreenSquare Group Ltd [2024] EAT 160: Sole counsel for the claimant in a successful appeal to the EAT concerning the correct test for causation in victimisation claims and the application of Martin v Devonshires.

    • Artificial Intelligence and Employment Bill for the Trades Union Congress: Assisting Robin Allen KC and Dee Masters with the drafting of a bill designed to strengthen regulation and protections relating to artificial intelligence in the workplace.

    • ‍Representing a senior finance professional in her claims of pregnancy discrimination and victimisation (led by Rachel Crasnow KC).

    • Representing an academic at a leading university in her claims of disability discrimination and victimisation.

    • Representing multiple leading universities defending claims under statutory employment law brought by members of staff.

    • Acting for the workers in relation to a successful application to form a bargaining unit to the Central Arbitration Committee.

  • Grace is regularly instructed in matters concerning data protection and artificial intelligence.

    Recent experience includes:

    • Artificial Intelligence and Employment Bill for the Trades Union Congress: instructed by the Trades Union Congress to draft a bill to improve the regulation and protections relating to artificial intelligence in the workplace (led by Robin Allen KC and Dee Masters).

    • Advising a leading technological research institute on the implications of proposed amendments to the Data Protection Act 2018 for scientific research (led by Robin Allen KC and Dee Masters).

    • Advising a commercial lawyer on the territorial scope of the UK GDPR in relation to her former employer’s activities.

    • Advising a leading union on the lawfulness, under data protection legislation, of an employer’s (mis)use of members’ special category data in promotion and redundancy exercises.

  • Grace acts exclusively for claimants in her personal injury and clinical negligence work.

    She has particular expertise in quantum disputes, and is regularly instructed as junior counsel to draft complex multi-million-pound schedules of loss and advise on settlement. She was a contributor to the 16th edition of Bingham and Berrymans' Personal Injury and Motor Claims Cases (2023), working on the chapter Principles of Quantum. She is regularly instructed in claims involving birth injuries, brain injuries, spinal injuries and amputations.

    She also has a busy liability practice, including cases involving complex causation issues, contributory negligence arguments, and allegations of abuse or sexual assault.

    She is regularly instructed to draft pleadings, lead expert conferences, and appear on procedural applications, as well as to attend joint settlement meetings, mediations and trials.

    Recent instructions include:

    • Acting for the Claimant in a spinal cord injury claim following an incident at work (led by Gerard McDermott KC and Daniel Lawson). After a failed JSM, a seven-figure settlement was achieved at mediation.

    • Acting for the Claimant in a birth injury case involving cerebral palsy, GMFCS Level 5 (led by William Latimer-Sayer KC). An eight-figure settlement, together with significant PPOs, was achieved shortly after a failed JSM.

    • Acting for the Claimant in a birth injury case in which the Claimant sustained a brain injury (led by William Latimer-Sayer KC). An eight-figure settlement, together with significant PPOs, was achieved at a JSM.

    • Acting for the Claimant in a brain injury case with over 15 single expert instructions, in circumstances where the Claimant sustained severe injury and thereafter relocated to another jurisdiction, such that expert evidence is required on indexation, discount rates, relevant foreign law, and real average earnings and inflation (led by William Latimer-Sayer KC).

    • Acting for the Claimant in a high-value amputation case, drafting the Schedule of Loss (led by Stuart McKechnie KC).

    • Acting as sole counsel in a fatal claim, where the deceased sustained a spinal cord injury in a road traffic accident, and passed away over a year thereafter. A confidential six-figure settlement was achieved.

    • Acting as sole counsel in a clinical negligence claim for a delayed diagnosis of sudden sensorineural hearing loss, involving complex issues of breach and causation. A confidential six-figure settlement was achieved.

    • Acting as sole counsel in an ongoing clinical negligence claim arising from facelift surgery. The matter is ongoing.

    • Acting as sole counsel for a claimant who sustained serious injury in a road traffic accident. The matter is ongoing.

  • Grace has expertise in housing law, judicial review and inquests engaging Article 2 issues.

    She has been instructed in housing and homelessness judicial reviews, including challenges to the suitability of interim accommodation provided under section 188(1) of the Housing Act 1996 and to the adequacy of asylum accommodation provided under section 95 of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999.

    She has been instructed by the Secretary of State for the Home Department in multiple cases concerning appeals of penalties imposed on companies and drivers whose vehicles were found containing clandestine entrants.

    Grace is on the Government Legal Department’s junior-junior scheme.

    She was instructed by the Cabinet Office in the Covid Inquiry, and by the Secretary of State for Justice in a judicial review challenging the operation of a high-security prison regime.

  • Before coming to the bar, Grace read Mathematics at New College, Oxford, where she graduated with a First-Class degree.

    While at Oxford University, Grace was Campaigns Officer for the Amnesty International Society. She has worked on a variety of pro bono projects, including the School Exclusion Project and Camden Community Law Centre. At the latter, she gained experience in employment, housing and asylum law. She drafted written representations and acted as a legal adviser at the centre’s drop-in service.
