  • Fred began pupillage in October 2025 and is interested in all areas of Chambers’ work.

    Fred arrives at Chambers from the Court of Appeal, where he was Judicial Assistant to Lord Justice Coulson, writing opinions on complex points of law across various practice areas. Previously, he was a Legal Intern at the Neurorights Foundation in Washington DC, researching the human rights implications of emerging neurotechnologies.

    Alongside his legal studies, Fred represented claimants in the Employment Tribunal for the Free Representation Unit (FRU) in unfair dismissal and discrimination claims. He was also a volunteer advocate for the Cleaners and Allied Independent Workers’ Union (CAIWU) in members’ employment disputes. Fred later became a Director of the School Exclusion Project, representing parents in JR-style exclusion appeal hearings.

    Prior to law, Fred obtained a Starred First in German and Farsi from the University of Cambridge, completing terms at Iranian and Tajik universities. He speaks working German, Farsi, Dari and Spanish, with intermediate proficiency in several other languages, including French.
